Varifocal Lenses have an hourglass shape providing a wide distance field, a very narrow intermediate, and a slightly wider near portion.
This design is known to create the following issues;
•Requires an adaptation period
•Feeling nauseas or dizzy due to peripheral distortions
•Navigation through distance, intermediate, and near vision is cumbersome.
•You have to move your head to see objects at different distances
