Cutler and Gross were founded in 1969 by Graham Cutler and Tony Gross, who met in optometry school. Through their mutual passion for innovative design, they were amongst the first to change the perception of eyewear. Converting glasses from a medical necessity into a key fashion accessory.

Handmade frames aren't made with speed, producing a Cutler & Gross design involves 42 separate procedures - all of which are guided or completed by experienced hands. Some of these hands have worked in the company since day one in the 1960's

With exposed components, this is honest, understandable design. Perfect, functional simplicity means mistakes have nowhere to hide.

The bold, heavy appearance of a Cutler & Gross is soon diminished once tried on. The Italian acetate and Japanese titanium provide a light weight, luxurious feel.
